Moving in the south: what to plan for
- Family homes on bigger blocks. Much of Morphett Vale, Woodcroft and Reynella was built from the 1970s to the 1990s: single-storey homes with garages, sheds and gardens. Garages and sheds are where moves run long, so sort them out early.
- Sloping blocks in Happy Valley, Aberfoyle Park and Flagstaff Hill. Split-level homes and steep driveways are common on the hills face. Choose the right stairs option and mention steep driveways in the notes.
- Outdoor settings, trampolines and garden gear. Bigger yards mean more outdoor items. Take apart trampolines and play equipment before the day, and drain the fuel from mowers.
Getting there
The Southern Expressway gets us from Glenelg North to Reynella and Morphett Vale in about 25 minutes. Happy Valley, Aberfoyle Park and Flagstaff Hill are a little further up the hill.
