What we move
Small and medium offices, shops, consulting rooms, studios and storage areas: desks and chairs, filing cabinets, shelving, reception furniture, meeting tables, archive boxes and stock, plus computers and printers once your IT people have packed them.
Office move checklist
Four weeks before
- Choose the date and the hours. Evenings and weekends keep trading time free.
- Check the rules at both buildings: lift bookings, loading docks, moving hours and parking for a truck.
- Ask both building managers whether they need the removalist's insurance certificate.
Two weeks before
- Draw a simple floor plan of the new office and number every desk and room.
- Give each room a colour, and label boxes and furniture with the colour and the desk number.
- Agree with your IT provider who disconnects and reconnects computers, phones and the internet.
The week before
- Each person packs their own desk into one or two labelled boxes.
- Empty filing cabinets, or ask us whether they can travel full and locked.
- Tell your customers, suppliers and Australia Post about the new address.
On the day
- Keep one person in charge at each end to answer questions.
- Walk through the old office at the end: cupboards, kitchen, storeroom and keys.
How office moves are priced
Offices are charged by the hour like any move, usually with three movers and a truck. Every office is different, so the estimator gives a guide and John confirms the price after a quick call. [[si:visitaGratis|For bigger offices, John can visit before quoting, free of charge.]]
