Moving in the east: what to plan for
- Stone villas and cottages. Norwood, Kensington and St Peters have many bluestone and sandstone homes with narrow hallways and tight corners. Plan which pieces need to come apart.
- Apartments and townhouses. Newer blocks around The Parade and Kent Town have lifts and building rules. Book the lift and ask about parking for a truck.
- Hills-face blocks. In Beaumont, Glen Osmond and the higher parts of Burnside, steep driveways and front steps are common.
- Busy roads. The Parade, Magill Road and Kensington Road are busy most of the day; side-street access and an early start help.
