How we work out your estimate
The estimator uses the same numbers John uses when he quotes by phone:
- Home size sets the crew (2 or 3 movers) and the usual time to load and unload.
- Stairs and lifts add carrying time at each end.
- Distance between the two addresses adds the drive.
- Packing adds packing time at the same hourly rate. Materials are separate: Boxes, tape and packing paper are charged at cost, only if you use ours.
- Heavy items such as pianos and pool tables add time and are confirmed from photos.
Then it applies our hourly rate, the 2 hours minimum and the call-out of 0.5 hours. The clock starts when we arrive at your pickup address and stops when the last item is in place at your new home.
Moving more than 50 km, to the regions or interstate? Those jobs are priced one by one, so send your details and John will call you.

Common questions
Is the estimate a fixed price?
No. It's a range based on your answers and our hourly rates. John confirms the price with you, by phone or from photos, before anything is booked.
Why a range and not one number?
Two homes of the same size can take very different times: how much furniture there is, how ready the boxes are, how close the truck can park. The range covers a normal day for a move like yours.
Can I send photos instead of booking a visit?
Yes. Photos or a short video of each room on WhatsApp are usually enough for John to confirm the price. For 4+ bedroom homes and offices, he can also come and look for free.
What happens after I send my details?
John gets them straight away and replies within 15 minutes during business hours, by your preferred channel. There is no obligation to book.
